All around the globe, Expo Season is about to get underway for the plastics industry, and Tasman Machinery is going to be present in conjunction with our major suppliers at all the shows, both international & local.

Within the space of the next 8 weeks major shows are being held in China with the annual Chinaplas, and the USA, with the 3 yearly NPE Expo, and then more locally, the bi annual EMEX Expo in Auckland NZ.

tm npe2018NPE 2018 is the most important expo for the plastics industry this year, and is being held in Orlando, Florida from the 7 – 11th May. With over 2000 companies exhibiting over close to 100,000 Sq metres, this is show that brings together the best of the plastics industry, from the USA, Europe, and Asia. With over 65,000 visitors from over 100 countries, NPE is without doubt the premier plastics industry expo of 2018

Sumitomo (SHI) Demag will be exhibiting 6 machines on their stand (W3045) ranging from a 30 tonne micro moulding medical product, throught to a 500 tonner all electric machine.

Also on display will be 2 high speed packaging applications, including a sub 2 second closure display incorporating the high performing EL Exis 300 tonner, and an all electric SE 180 EVA, running an IML injection-compression lid in sub 4.5Sec.

Sumitomo (SHI ) Demag will also have another 6 machines operating around the show, including at Yushin robots (Stand W2173) running another high speed application. Yushin will also be exhibiting their latest advanced robot, the FRA Series, which is is proving very popular for compaines looking for ultra precise insert moulding applications.

Chinaplas is being held from the 24th – 27th April in Shangahi. While Chinaplas is held every year, without doubt the Shanghai Expo is of a much more international flavour, with many International suppliers, including Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, choosing to only exhibit at Shanghai.

Sumitomo Demag will be exhibiting 6 machines in Hall 4 (Stand 4.1J61) Sumitomo Demag wil be exhibiting a full range of machines and applications, including our world famous all electric machines, running an intersting mix of products, including an LSR application and 2 different lens production cells.

Sumitomo Demag will also show 2 different models of machines running high speed packaging applications, including our benchmark German built EL Exis SP machine, as well as a high speed hydraulic machine from our Ningbo factory in China.

tm emexEmex is New Zealands premier engineering & machinery Expo, held every 2 years in Auckland, NZ. This year it is being held from the 1st-3rd May, at the Auckland Showgrounds.
